Walter “Bud” John Nahay, 76, of Kirkland, Washington, passed away on May 26, 2024 peacefully in his sleep. He was born on September 22, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Florance Nahay and Walter Nahay Sr.

Bud was a talented artist who found joy in drawing, painting, and woodworking. His curiosity about the world led him to immerse himself in history through books and learning. Bud took pride in his skills as a Machinist and owning his own sucessful buisness where he worked most of his adult life until he moved to Washington with his wife Vickie Nahay.  He was a loving father, husband and grandfather, always ready to bring a smile to those around him. His laughter was infectious, brightening any room he entered. His family was everything to him and he made sure that they knew how much he cared and loved them until his passing and even after.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie Nahay, his daughter Margot Nahay Windenburg, his son Budd Nahay, his adopted daughter Samantha Nahay Salazar, and life long friend and past wife Marianne Ovendale Nahay, Also the mother of Margot and Budd Nahay.

A celebration of Walter’s life will be held at Juanita View apartments on June 15th, 2024. Vickie and Bud managed Juanita View Apartments together for nearly 30 years and his passing has impacted everyone in the community. The family will be holding the service in the place he was most happy surrounded by the community who adored him

Bud Nahay’s kindness, creativity, and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
