Zere Robert Warner (Bob) died peacefully on January 21 in Arlington after suffering for years with Parkinson’s disease.
Bob was born June 19, 1930 in Portland, Ore., to Zere Robert Warner Sr. and Alma Belle Warner. Bob attended Central Washington College where he met Margie, his wife of 61 years, at a college mixer. He graduated in 1953 with a degree in education. Bob taught and coached at Meridian, Monroe and finally in Arlington. After retiring, he and Margie spent many happy years at their Lummi Island cabin.
Bob leaves his wife Margie, of Arlington, his children, Jane Henery and her husband Mike of Port Townsend; Bob Warner and his wife Cookie of Sedro Woolley; Sarah Warner and her partner Susan Erickson of Seattle; and Pete Warner and his wife Laura of Poulsbo. There are also six grandchildren – Mike and Matthew Henery and Annie Neziri, Robby and Katie Warner and Anna Warner – and nine great grandchildren.
His family gives special thanks to his caregivers for their devotion to his well being these last few years.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Arlington Boys & Girls Club.
A memorial gathering will be held there at 2 p.m., Saturday Feb. 2. The club is located at 18513 59th Avenue N.E. in Arlington
Bob enjoyed life to its fullest and will be remembered with much love.
